HPOC is honored to welcome Zaire Sabb, a masterful clinical herbalist, traditional midwife, and interdisciplinary scholar, to our faculty of visionary educators. With over two decades of experience as an initiated practitioner in the Ifá/Orisa tradition, Zaire brings an unparalleled depth of ancestral knowledge, clinical expertise, and spiritual wisdom to the classroom.
Zaire’s teaching bridges ancestral healing traditions and contemporary clinical practice, guiding students through a decolonized, culturally rich framework rooted in Indigenous wisdom. Her extensive background includes advanced certifications and degrees in clinical herbalism, functional medicine, women’s health, and midwifery — and she’s currently completing her doctorate in Natural Medicine.
She studied under legendary healers such as Dr. S. Ndaeyo Opio (Nana Siti) in Atlanta, and received botanical training from revered elders and herbalists across Nigeria and the U.S., including Chief Adsenia Olatunji-Aresa, Chief Poopla Bankola Adenkunle, and Patricia Kristi Howell.
Zaire is also the founder of:🌿 Mystic Momma Herbals🌺 Olaynika Organics🤰🏿 The Sankofa Birthkeepers Journey — a diasporic immersion program reviving traditional African birthing systems.
Her affiliations span prestigious organizations like the American Herbalists Guild, Black Herbalists Collective, National Black Doula Association, and of course — Holistic Professionals of Color.
Zaire is more than a teacher — she is a movement. A sought-after educator, consultant, and speaker, her life’s work is dedicated to reclaiming Indigenous knowledge and preparing the next generation of culturally competent, spiritually grounded healers.
Join us in celebrating and welcoming Professor Zaire Sabb to HPOC University. We cannot wait for our students to experience the brilliance she brings to our herbal, birthwork, and African cosmology courses.
We are honored. We are ready. We are healing
