Meet Lakisha Taylor

President of HPOC Greensboro, North Carolina

My resilience and determination to overcome a personal health challenge is how I embark on a deeply personal exploration to reclaim my health. Diagnosed with a thyroid condition and fibroids, I initially faced discouraging predictions about my overall health. However, instead of accepting defeat, I turned to alternative solutions beyond traditional medicine. Through the adoption of herbal medicines and positive lifestyle changes I experienced a profound transformation. By changing my diet and incorporating herbs into my daily routine, I witnessed firsthand the incredible healing power of nature.

My Journey is a testament to the power of resilience, determination, and the healing potential of natural remedies. My journey inspired me to become an certified herbalist and pursue a Doctorate of Philosophy in Metaphysics and Natural Medicine with HPOC, where I delved deeper into the study of natural healing modalities. Motivated by my own journey, I embarked on a mission to spread awareness about the therapeutic benefits of holistic practices. My goal is to educate and encourage my community to embrace a better lifestyle and a more positive, healthier way of living through traditional medicine and practices.

As the President of the HPOC Greensboro, NC Chapter, I will ensure that the chapter serves as a beacon of inspiration and empowerment for holistic professionals of color. Fostering a sense of community and collaboration in the pursuit of holistic health and wellness. My leadership will transform the community into a vibrant hub of diversity and inclusivity. Under the HPOC guidance, the chapter celebrates diversity and actively works to make holistic wellness accessible to everyone. My vision and passion will make the chapter a driving force for change and a source of inspiration for the BIPOC community.
